Turning scraps into a beautiful necklace

Making a lovely necklace with scraps left over from a skirt
I made an African print skirt, my plan was to make a headwrap with the left over fabric but all I had left over were scraps.  I was disappointed that I did not get my headwrap so I made a  beautiful necklace instead.
You can do this project with any scraps you have to match your outfits.
You can use beads or bubbles, strong thread and whatever decorative items you have.
I made a tube with the fabric and stuff the beads into the tube,  if you have different size beads you can arrange the beads so that the large beads will be in the middle of the tube.
To separate the beads I wrapped the thread around the space of each bead to form a candy wrap effect, you can also twist the fabric for more definition.  Continue this process.  To close the end of the tube hem stich with needle and thread.  If the necklace is not long enough to go over your head add clasps at the end, or hook and eyes.
For embellishment I wrapped a string of sequins around the finished necklace.
Finished Necklace
The remaining scraps I made a tube and instead of using beads I run the cord through with a safety pin and secured the end by hem stitch.  You can add claps of tie a decorative know to finish.
The corded necklace can be worn wrapped around the neck several times.
